Mary Robinson speaks at Social Good Summit

Mary Robinson was one of the speakers at the Social Good Summit, a two-day conference on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York. The conference examined the impact of technology and new media on social good initiatives globally.

The conference brought together global leaders and grassroots activists to discuss solutions for the greatest challenges of our time. The theme of the conference was #2030NOW, asking the question: “What type of world do I want to live in by the year 2030?”

Mrs Robinson was interviewed on the issue of the human cost of climate change. There is a need for a global movement for climate change, Mrs Robinson said. “There is an injustice in climate change, it affects the poorest countries and communities most,” she added.
