So, outraged by human rights abuses but inspired by hope for a better world, AI works to improve people’s lives through campaigning and international solidarity.

Climate Works Foundation

The ClimateWorks Foundation supports public policies that prevent dangerous climate change and promote global prosperity. ClimateWorks partners with an international network of affiliated organizations to support smart policies in the geographic regions and economic sectors that have the greatest potential for reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The Network’s goal is to inspire adoption of effective policies to limit annual global greenhouse gas emissions.

The Elders

The Elders are an independent group of eminent global leaders, brought together by Nelson Mandela, who offer their collective influence and experience to support peace building, help address major causes of human suffering and promote the shared interests of humanity. The Elders amplify the voices of those who work hard to be heard, challenge injustice, stimulate dialogue and debate and help others to work for positive change in their societies.

European Climate Foundation

The European Climate Foundation aims to promote climate and energy policies that greatly reduce Europe’s greenhouse gas emissions and help Europe play an even stronger international leadership role in mitigating climate change. The European Climate Foundation identifies policy priorities based on the tons of potential greenhouse gas emission reductions and the probability of success in securing that policy change.

Foundation for International Environmental Law and Development (FIELD)

FIELD's vision is of a fair, effective and accessible system of international law that protects the global environment and promotes sustainable development. FIELD is an independent subsidiary of the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED). This institutional alliance brings together FIELD's legal expertise and IIED's expertise in social, political and economic sciences. FIELD and IIED share offices and a Board of Trustees.

Human Rights Watch

Human Rights Watch (HRW) is one of the world’s leading independent organizations dedicated to defending and protecting human rights. By focusing international attention where human rights are violated, HRW gives voice to the oppressed and hold oppressors accountable for their crimes. HRW's rigorous, objective investigations and strategic, targeted advocacy build intense pressure for action and raise the cost of human rights abuse.

International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED)

IIED is an independent international research organisation and a global leader in sustainable development. In Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Central and South America, the Middle East and the Pacific, IIED works with some of the world's most vulnerable people to ensure they have a say in the policy arenas that most closely affect them — from village councils to international conventions. Through close collaboration with partners at the grassroots, IIED makes its research and advocacy relevant to their needs and alive to their realities.

Oxfam International

Oxfam is an international confederation of 14 organizations working together in 99 countries and with partners and allies around the world to find lasting solutions to poverty and injustice. Oxfam works directly with communities and seeks to influence the powerful to ensure that poor people can improve their lives and livelihoods and have a say in decisions that affect them. Oxfam believes respect for human rights will help lift people out of poverty.
